I've always wanted to do a regular article called Sounds Travels about my experiences in the wide world of sound out there. I have been a practicing Sound Practitioner (consciously work with sound) for nine years now and have found that it's made me very sound sensitive. My experiences have been wide and varied and I am thrilled to be able to share them.

- Toronto-based Anoushka Fyreagle is a multi-faceted sonic mystic, vocal and visual artist. As a sound practitioner she incorporates sound, word, movement, imagery and intuition. Anoushka, (also known as Anny to friends) facilitates and teaches rites of passage and sonic rituals, including palliative sound and griefwork, voice, dance and drum. Anoushka is an experienced and trained expressive vocal coach. She has studied with musical, healing and spiritual masters, including Helen Murray, Bobby McFerrin and Louise Lambert. Anoushka’s enthusiasm for the human voice draws the listener in. She takes you on a personalized journey ‘singing each person’s unique spirit song’, and lets you see the infinite possiblities of your own voice. Anoushka's command of overtone harmonics is rare and beautiful to hear. Her ability to improvise offers a unique and magical approach in facilitating. She comes by her mysticism innately as her ancestry comes from gypsy blood. A seer and a sensitive Anny has an acute intuition which allows her to perceptively sense what would best support the moment. Her sensitivity to the unspoken and unheard is distinctive.
